Didn't get to experience the candle

First time trying this company and was excited to light my first candle. I didn't get to enjoy it for even a few minutes because it starting to smoke. The wick was trimmed so I knew it wasn't that. I've been lighting candles for 30 years and never had one smoke upon first lighting. I extinguished the candle and tried again later trimming the tip of the wick again just to be sure. My son came to visit and asked whose smoking in my house. I'll try a different candle and see how that goes.
