A Patriotic Picnic for the 4th of July

July is here and with the start of the year's *hottest* month, the bold colors of red, white and blue are popping up all over the place. Take a stroll down any neighborhood in the USA, porches, cars and even dogs are emblazened with Old Glory. People are going all out for Independence Day this year!
So, what are your plans for the 4th of July? Are you throwing a patriotic picnic or a backyard barbecue?
All of this colorful scenery has inspired us to throw our own DIY Independence Day picnic (photographed by our lovely in-house photographer, Shannon). And no picnic is complete without a bit of Old Fashioned Lemonade!

From hotdogs to apple pies, there are so many wonderful American foods that are brought to the table on Independence Day. One of our absolute favorites for a hot, festive day outside is this red, white and blue fruit salad from Life Made Simple.
